If work, finances, and other domestic issues are already putting your marriage at risk, you have to learn how to stop divorce as early as now. Below are five simple steps that can immediately save your marriage and strengthen your relationship with your spouse.
Focus on the present
Most couples who fail to fix their marriage and end up having a divorce have tendencies to look into the past. They dwell on the past mistakes of their partners and forget about the real essence of moving forward.
You can stop divorce by avoiding this common mistake. Let go of the past mistakes that your partner has committed. Instead of putting all the blame on him, focus on making things right. Otherwise, you will only regret something that can haunt you forever and cause an irreversible damage to your marriage.
Use positive reinforcement
Incentives can play a huge role in saving your relationship with your spouse. You can reach a reasonable compromise by making deals with your partner and giving him your end of the deal. For example, if he asks you to spend less time with some of your friends, you can agree with him only if he promises to help you pick up the groceries every week. Bargaining can help strengthen your marriage by making both of you trust each other more.
Always be realistic
You can also learn how to stop divorce if you are being realistic with your demands and requests. Even if your partner meets your demands, it will only serve as a temporary solution for your troubled marriage. You must learn how to keep each others demands realistic in order to prevent yourselves from disappointing each other.
Solve your disagreements
Whenever you are having a disagreement, do not put it off until tomorrow. Resolve things right then and there before the problem gets even bigger. Refrain from arguing with him while relating his past mistakes to his present actions. This habit will only turn your smallest disagreements into serious and complicated arguments.
Support your partner
Show your spouse that you are willing to stick with him through thick and thin. If ever he seems like he has a problem, show him that you are willing to listen to him and to support him all the way. Once you have proven him that you will always be by his side, you will be a fewer steps away from stopping a threatening divorce.
These simple steps can work like magic in fixing your marriage. Always remember that the only way to learn how to stop divorce is to devote time and effort in improving your relationship with your spouse.

I need advice in the worst way! I haven’t been the best husband at all, as a matter of fact I got my last chance I blew it, by insulting my wife, and I think it may be to late for me. I’ve finally realized how important my wife is to me and I want our marriage to work I’m even willing to go to anger management counseling for my abusive insults and physical abuse I’ve inflicted due to my anger.all this caused my wife to either maybe have an affair, don’t know if there she had and intimate affair of not but at this point I don’t care, I’m willing to forgive her after all its my fault.
Jason-
If you haven’t already started therapy, I would highly recommend that you do.
It’s great that you see your part in the breakdown of your marriage. Even if your wife can’t or won’t forgive you, the absolute best thing you can do for your own future is to try to get a handle on your anger and aggression. If you don’t, it will haunt you in your future relationships, too.
In most cases, I feel that marriage counselling is just a higher-priced version of the course I recommend. However, in your case, I’m recommending individual therapy – that’s a completely different thing.
I hope that you’re able to take this positive step, and I’m praying that it’s not too late for your marriage.
